Frame:
16 gauge Type 316 Stainless Steel. No. 4 satin finish.
Device Provision:
Die-cut knockouts as required to mount all devices indicated on the drawings. Blank knockouts to include stainless steel coverplate. Aluminum, satin-coat steel or stainless steel barriers as required to separate electrical services, communications devices and medical gas outlets.
Medical Gas Piping:
Factory installed, degreased Type L hard copper pipe,
from each terminal unit to a point 18" below the column. Piping to be labeled per CSA Z305.1, and capped for
cleanliness.
Medical Gas Outlets:
Class 1 Inc. factory cleaned and tested, gas specific, non-interchangeable M57 series DISS
medical gas terminal units, serviceable without removal of the nameplate or gas specific components, complete with CSA Z305.5 Certification.
120V Electrical Wiring:
All 120V electrical devices to be wired on-site to factory installed device backboxes.
Electrical Devices:
Receptacles: Hospital Grade, 15A, 125V, 3-wire, U-ground, EEMAC 5-15R, 8200 series duplex receptacles,
coloured ivory for normal power, and red for emergency power.
Light Switches: Specification Grade, 15A, 125V. SPST or 3-way as required, quiet action toggle type, coloured ivory for normal power, and red for emergency power.
Ground Jacks: Hampden SLR-3S standard pin twist-lock ground jack.
Low Voltage Wiring: All low voltage devices to be provided by others and installed and wired on site. Provision for low voltage devices to include knockout and mounting brackets as required. Typical low voltage devices include Nurse Call, Code Blue, monitor, data and telephone jacks, and cable TV.
