Meet the Staff
Chris Over is Vice President of Construction Services for Class 1 Inc.
He has been in the mechanical contracting business since 1983 and has specialized in the installation of medical gas systems for over 20 years. As the industry has evolved, so has Chris, going from plumber's apprentice to management.
Chris has built an expert team of over 30 professional plumbers, the best in the business, who install nothing but medical gas piping systems in hospitals on a daily basis across Canada. There is not much in the way of medical gas piping that he has not seen.
Chris is also very involved in medical gas training. He developed the first medical gas installation course geared towards plumbers in 1990 and has been putting on seminars throughout Canada and the U.S. ever since.
Chris has been an active member of the CSA Technical Subcommittee on Medical Gases for over 10 years. Chris continues to volunteer his time to work on several CSA Standards including the Medical Gas Pipeline Standard, CSA Z7396.1, where he chairs the Working Group on Installation and Pipelines.
Brendan began his career by working for a mechanical wholesaler, where he gained valuable experience with all facets of the mechanical trade. He began his apprenticeship in 1990 and now, as a licensed Plumber, has 17 years of successful and progressive work experience in healthcare and hospital environments, with the last 10 years dedicated strictly to the medical gas industry.
Brendan has been a worker, foreman and/or supervisor for every aspect of medical gas installations from managing complete hospital additions, to simple outlet repair, to coordinating complicated source of supply system replacements. He is also fully trained in Cryogenic Cylinders and Bulk Gas Installations.
Brendan finds the medical gas industry uniquely rewarding and has gained a greater appreciation for the challenges and complexities faced by the healthcare industry.
